Monster Pudding Cups

They did the Mash, they did the monster mash
The Monster Mash, it was a graveyard smash
He did the mash, it caught on in a flash
They did the Mash, they did the Monster Mash

These Monster Pudding Cups are so much fun to make.  I let my kids go at making the monster faces on these, and they had so much fun doing it!!  We even made one into a witch!  Plus, after they were done decorating them, they were filled with pudding and completely devoured.

Monster Pudding Cups

Ingredients:
  • clear plastic cups, decorated with permament marker.
  • pudding, in a light shade like vanilla (I used cookies & cream since I have some left from the great deal on them)
  • green food coloring
  • crushed oreos - or anything else that you want to make the 'hair' out of. We mixed Halloween sprinkles with the crushed oreos.  Be creative.

Instructions:

Prepare the pudding according to package directions.  Tint it to the desired shade of green with the food coloring.  Scoop it into the clear, decorated cups.  Top with the crushed oreos.

Magic Potion

Double double toil & trouble
Fire burn & cauldron bubble

It's magic potion time!  The kids will get such a kick out of this & it's very easily put together too.  All you need is a few different colors/flavors of KoolAid. This time around, I used red, green, & blue.  You make the KoolAid according to package directions & then pour some of it into ice trays - a different ice tray for each color.  As the ice cubes melt, the 'potion' will turn cool colors & change flavors too!

When the KoolAid cubes are frozen, pop at least one of each into clear cups & top with lemon-lime soda.

Not only are these cool at Halloween, but really any time of the year!

Glow Stick Lanterns

Who would have thought something so easy could be so pretty?

These gorgeous lights are made from glow sticks & mason jars.  Just add a little bit of water to the bottom of a jar & cut open a few glow sticks & dump the insides in.  Seal the jar, and give it a good shake.

You can add just one color, or mix colors.  My personal favorite is red, white, & blue.  It makes a gorgeous pinkish glow, like the one at the top of this post.

You can put these on your front porch or give them to the kiddos to take with them.  Cuuuutteeeee, huh?

Witch Hats

It's another day in the 13 Days of Halloween!

Here's another easy one for you - Witch Hats!  They are made of just 3 ingredients.

All you do to make this clever treat is turn the fudge stripe cookies upside down.  Squeeze the orange cookie icing around the hole of the cookie, and then plop a Hershey's kiss on top.  Serve, and watch the smiles start forming.

Nutter Butter Ghosts

This is such an EASY & QUICK idea for Halloween.  You really have no excuse not to make it, right?  It's also my husband's personal favorite.

All you need are Nutter Butter cookies, mini chocolate chips, & either vanilla flavored candy coating (almond bark) or white chocolate.  Melt the your coating in the microwave or a double boiler & dip the nutter butters in them.  Lay them on a piece of wax paper & place 3 mini chocolate chips on it.  2 for the eyes, and one for the mouth.

Let the coating set & they're ready to eat.
